About Malaysia

Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country occupying parts of the Malay Peninsula and the island of Borneo. With a total area of approximately 331,000 km2 it has a population of around 31.75 million people and is the world’s 66th largest country.

Malaysia is a country that is different from other States in the region a unique combination of exotic, ancient culture and the highest level of development. This is the second after Singapore is the most economically developed and clean country in the region. It is known for its beaches, rainforests, and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers such as the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers.

Located near the equator, Malaysia’s climate is categorized as equatorial, being hot and humid throughout the year. In Malaysia, there are almost no seasonal changes in climate, but the coolest is the time from November to January when the temperature drops to 26 degrees
